ABOUT
MISSION AND HISTORY
I AM CHANGED, INC. was established in 2015 to advance appreciation of music and
visual arts by producing and offering educational films, documentaries, and animations,
while teaching the arts thereof to the youth and disadvantaged of Greenville County. I.A.C.,
Inc., provides further community development, leadership, empowerment, and motivational
programs for the youth and disadvantaged. Providing social services to homeless, children,
youth, seniors, economically disadvantaged, and immigrant families living in Greenville
County and the Upstate South Carolina is also a commitment.
After operating several years as a small nonprofit organization, I.A.C., Inc., obtained 501c3
status in 2015 to expand its services to the community. Board members of I.A.C., Inc. are
artists, pastors, educators, and leading professionals in the community who are committed to
the mission of I.A.C., Inc. This mix of talent and expertise helps ensure we see each project
through to success.

Homelessness has increased in Greenville County by 72% in the past two years, as reported
by the South Carolina Coalition for the Homeless. According to the January 24, 2015 count,
Greenville County has the most homeless people at 896, followed by Horry County at 839,
and Charleston County at 403. A new national report on homelessness says South Carolina
has 11 homeless people per 10,000 residents. Since early 2015, I.A.C., Inc., has addressed the
homeless population by supplying basic necessities through their program, Project Homeless
Outpost. Outposts are set up at partnering organizations where homeless citizens can come
for help. The need to engage more support, bring awareness, and expand the program to
include training, counseling, work shoes, transportation to work, and other needed services
that lead to independent, productive individuals living in houses is evident. With this
opportunity, a greater sustainable program can be developed.
Production of a documentary, “Homeless in the South”, featuring the trials and tribulations
of homeless citizens during each of the four seasons began in the spring of 2015. Some raw
footage and interviews with state senators and city officials has been completed. Some of the
filming, public relations, and photography was conducted by young people of Greenville
County, bringing awareness of the problem, and teaching the arts. The completion of this
documentary will further bring community, state, and national awareness, allow us to raise
funds, and give us the opportunity to teach the arts to young people.
